It’s not quite this simple, because while this is our largest seed order, seeds are coming in from other sources as well, and some of the items that will be part of our summer deliveries, like garlic and strawberries, are already planted. But just take a moment with me to think about the idea that there’s food for one hundred and fifty eaters for twenty five weeks, plus our farmer’s market stand’s produce, in this box.

Flowers, herbs, corn, pumpkins, Asian greens, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, peppers, winter and summer squashes, lettuces, spinach, okra, brussels sprouts, onions, leeks, scallions, beets,carrots, radishes, kohlrabi, turnips, rutabagas, beans, tomatoes, peas, parsnips, eggplants and much, much more. (The potatoes come later.) We’re anxious to get started, but for now, in January, with sleet pounding the windows, it’s enough to just look at the box and wonder at all this potential.
