It’s time! The first deliveries are tomorrow, May 13 (for 81 & Progress, at the parking lot of 500 Nationwide Drive) and for Millerstown (at the Hair Station.) For Camp Hill, Duncannon and Dauphin, Friday May 14. Let’s hope we have some nice weather for this first week – but your farmers will work for you rain or shine, no worries!
Made buttermilk pancakes for breakfast this morning with the wheat and recipe provided this week. We threw in a handful of blueberries to liven things up. They were even better this afternoon. After our hike we covered the leftovers with peanut butter and had them as a yummy snack.
For those getting the asparagus next week…look out! The bunch we got looked more like small trees they were so big. I was worried that they would be tough and lacking in flavor, I was wrong. They were very sweet and tender.
