Hi, Robert, and thanks for your question. We could fit you in with a full or half share now and adjust the cost to reflect the number of weeks left in the season. There are no egg shares available anymore, though. If you wanted a full share, the cost for the rest of the season would be $200 (it would begin next week, the first week in September) and a half share would be $115. We have ten weeks left in the season. You can email me directly at katie@komta.com to let me know if you'd like to do this, and which day / pickup place would work best for you (Thursday at 81 and Progress 4:00-5:30 or in Millerstown 4:00-5:00, or Friday in Camp Hill from 3-6, or at either of the farms - Duncannon or Dauphin - after 3:00).

If you'd prefer to wait until next year, we plan to begin taking memberships in late December - there have been some requests that we set up to make it possible for people to buy memberships as Christmas presents. Bookmark the site and check back then!

Made buttermilk pancakes for breakfast this morning with the wheat and recipe provided this week. We threw in a handful of blueberries to liven things up. They were even better this afternoon. After our hike we covered the leftovers with peanut butter and had them as a yummy snack.

For those getting the asparagus next week...look out! The bunch we got looked more like small trees they were so big. I was worried that they would be tough and lacking in flavor, I was wrong. They were very sweet and tender.

Great first week Ladies!

I am so excited to have been referred to the Cool Beans CSA!! I have a couple of questions that I am hoping to have answered. About how much produce is in a full share? And I assume a half share would be half of a full share? We are two that always prepare out own food and eat mainly veggies and I am not sure which size to order. What kind of eggs are available? I am a greens freak (especially kale) and read that I might be able to get extra stuff like that in my order if I request - just want to confirm. Also read that I can come to the farm for extras - but where would that be?? I really appreciate your time in answering my questions and look forward to what looks like a wonderful 25 weeks of produce!!!

You've been storing up energy for all the field work that's starting soon, that's what you've been doing! Remember, I'm old and slow, compared to you. I have to pace myself, and I need a head start on my half of the work!
