Katie, I had emailed you about a month ago and asked if 1/2 shares were still available. You replied with a “yes” and said that you would send us infor and an Agreement. Haven’t seen anything yet and didn’t want to miss out on the share. Our address is 697 Old Limekiln Lane, Newport, PA 17074. Let me know. Thank so much, Trish.

ack! I thought I mailed you a brochure, my apologies. One will be in tomorrow’s mail. Or you can print out the contract from the top of the home page of the website. We do still have spaces open for 2011.

    To Whom it May Concern:
Your neighbor Dave Krzak and myself work together. We wanted to take advantage of your CSA opportunity. My father passed on the 17th of April suddenly. Do you have anymore openings? We were condidering splitting one. Thank you

Hi Katie! I am too late for 2011 shares as I just heard about you today from one of my Kindergarten parents. Looking forward to next year, when is a good time to buy shares with you before it is sold out? Also, do you have any brochures and papers that I could read a little more about cool beans? Thanks!

  7. katie says:

Christina, check back with us in December, that’s when we’ll get things rolling for the new year. The info on the website far more in depth than our brochures, which can pretty much be summed up as “please go to the website for detailed information”!

  8. Charity says:

I am intereseted in becoming a member of the Cool Beans CSA but I am not sure how to go about this. Any help would be great. Also am I still able to get into the 2011 membership or do I have to wait until 2012? Thanks for the information!

  9. katie says:

Unfortunately, we have no openings for this year. We will open the 2012 memberships just before Christmas of 2011 – hope to hear from you then!

  10. katie says:

Too late for this year, but mark your calendar and check back in December of 2011, when we will open for 2012 memberships!

  11. Leigh Twiford says:

We were Cool Beans and Meat people last year. I signed up for Cool Beans 2012, but did not hear anything from you. The first delivery is next week, do you have us on your list?

  12. katie says:

Leigh! We’ve been wondering if you’d be signing up. Our records do not show that we’ve received anything from you, though. PLease email me at, and we’ll get this straightened out. I’m not seeing a full message from you; I’m assuming what comes after the “…” is that you did not hear from us. We’d love to have the Twifords back in the bean patch this year!

  13. Chris says:

I haven’t seen any updates in awhile. Are we still a go for next Tuesday being our first pick-up day?

  14. katie says:

    Yep. Just swamped.

  15. Sally says:

Are there any spots left for 2014? I’d love to get a full share plus a full egg share if it’s available.

  16. natalie says:

Hi, we’re interested in your CSA, but don’t see any info on # weeks, types of food, etc. Can you please help? Thanks!

  17. katie says:

Hi Natalie. The info you’re looking for is in the ‘about Cool Beans’ tab at the top of the page, and also in some of the short articles in the blog section. The first delivery this year is Tuesday May 17. I guarantee 23 weeks, but try for 24 (and so far, it’s always been 24.) The bags include food that can be grown here, so there is a seasonal aspect to it: there would not be sweet corn in May, or snap peas in August. If you look at the website, you’ll see a photo collage that one of the members made of most of the bags last year (she thinks she missed five of them). Take a look at those posts, and see if that answers your questions – if not, let me know.
